It is very important to us at Co Charger that the price paid is a good deal for both Host and Chargee. The calculator below is designed to help a Host to arrive at a fair price based on their particular circumstances – including the price of their electricity.
Please bear in mind that this is just a tool to help and pricing is ultimately up to each individual Host.
If you have a variable rate tariff, it is often best to agree a price with the Chargee based on the agreement that the charging is scheduled – via the car or your charger’s app – to start when the electricity is cheapest. Just ensure that you allow plenty of spare in the pricing for the hours when the car is charging outside of any cheaper rate. You can or course change pricing at any time.
Note: Government interventions in electricity pricing have made it quite hard to know exactly how much you are actually paying for your electricity! For example, some electricity suppliers are quoting the price per kWh before a price cap is applied which can be a lot higher than the amount you may actually pay. If you are in any doubt at all please check with your supplier to be sure about how much you actually pay per kWh of electricity under the current rules.
